Hopkinsville City Council Tuesday night approved the second reading of the Woodmill Farms annexation, along with housing incentives for a new residential development in the city.
Council members unanimously approved annexing Woodmill Farms into the city limits. The 34 acres is located south of MIller Mill Road off of Fort Campbell Boulevard, just north of Interstate 24.
In other action, City Clerk Crissy Fletcher read the municipal order establishing a housing incentive district for the proposed construction of single-family housing on 6.34 acres located on Sivley Road.
Council unanimously approved the municipal order by a 10-0 vote with council members Kimberly McCarley and Patricia Bell absent from the meeting.
During recognitions, Mayor Carter Hendricks recognized Johnny Davis who retired in September after 17-years of service with Air Evac.
Hopkinsville City Council will have a special called meeting Thursday night for Kentucky League of Cities Certified City of Ethics Training. The next regular meeting will be Tuesday evening, December 17, at 6:00 at the Municipal Building.
