Two men from Guthrie along with two men from Clarksville were convicted on multiple charges for their alleged involvement in multiple homicides and trafficking drugs in Clarksville Tuesday.
Clarksville Police say 41-year-old Marcus Darden and 30-year-old Elance Lucas both from Guthrie along with 35-year-old Derrick Kilgore and 44-year-old DeCarlos Titingson of Clarksville were convicted in a seven-week long trial in U.S. District Court on charges of racketeering and drug distribution.
They were reportedly members of a criminal organization called Gangster Disciples that were involved in multiple murders, shootings and drug trafficking in Clarksville.
34-year-old Rex Whitlock of Clarksville and Lorenzo Brown of Murfreesboro previously pled guilty for their alleged part in the organization.
According to evidence and testimony in the trial, the men are members of Gangsters Disciples that originated in Chicago and had spread through the Midwest and the Eastern United States.
Darden was allegedly the highest-ranking member in the Middle Tennessee area and controlled the organization in the Clarksville, Nashville, Murfreesboro, and Gallatin area.
Police say the men engaged in acts of violence including murder, attempted murder, and witness intimidation along with trafficking cocaine, marijuana and other controlled substances.
Members of the Gangsters Disciples allegedly murdered members of rival gangs in Clarksville along with shootings that led to innocent bystanders being hit.
The investigation was conducted by multiple federal agencies along with Kentucky and Tennessee law enforcement.
