HCC PATH Campaign Tops $45,000 Fundraising Goal

The Hopkinsville Community College Foundation surpassed its $45,000 fundraising goal Tuesday night thanks to donations during the “Giving Tuesday” event at Casey Jones Distillery.

College President Dr. Alissa Young announced during a “Giving Tuesday” event at Casey Jones Distillery Tuesday night that the campaign has topped the $38,000 mark.

Following her remarks, Foundation board member and Edge Media Group President Beth Mann helped push the total over $40,000 with a contribution from the Cadiz Rotary Club.

Thanks to more donations during the event, HCC Advancement Officer Yvette Eastham says the total has climbed to an estimated $48,551.  She says that includes gifts to the foundation and college; scholarship gifts, gifts to the pantry and others.

Dr. Young says the need for the Pathfinder Pantry recently hit home during a recent interaction with a student at HCC.

The Hopkinsville Community College PATH Campaign began earlier this year, with the Pathfinder Pantry opening earlier this fall to help students who are struggling.
