The pretrial conference for a Hopkinsville woman accused of a fatal shooting in June was continued until next week.
19-year old Anshanique Leavell is charged with murder after she allegedly shot Armareya Freeman at an apartment complex on Greenville Road on June 6.
Leavell and her defense attorney, Michael Thompson, appeared for a pretrial conference in Christian Circuit Court Wednesday morning. Commonwealth’s Attorney Rick Boling told the News Edge Judge John Atkins had continued the hearing until Wednesday, December 18.
Leavell remains lodged in the Christian County Jail. In addition to the murder charge, she is also facing receiving stolen property (firearm), and complicity to tampering with physical evidence offenses.
