A Hopkinsville man was charged with fleeing from police after a pursuit Sunday night.
Kentucky State Police say they attempted to stop a car driven by 36-year-old Wilford Smith on Pennyrile Parkway for speeding.
Police say Smith fled along the parkway, then exited onto US 68 east, then Russellville Road.
Smith turned into Western Hills mobile home park, then bailed out of the car and began fleeing on foot.
Smith was reportedly located by K9 hiding under a mobile home. Smith continued to resist arrest after being pulled out from under the home.
Smith is charged with first and second-degree fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, and DUI. He was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for a dog bite.
