A Hopkinsville man and woman are charged with second-degree assault after a fight on Greenville Road Friday morning.
Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy Adam Vanderkolk said 37-year-old Jasmine Alexander was fighting with his girlfriend 42-year-old Tamiko McGill when he pushed her on the bed and choked her then cut her bicep with a knife.
McGill was reportedly able to get away and get a knife then started swinging the knife at Alexander severely cutting his hand.
McGill allegedly told deputies she cut him in self-defense.
They were both arrested and charged with second-degree assault. Alexander was also charged with second-degree strangulation.
