Deputies: Elkton Man Stopped For Speeding, Charged With Possession Of Meth

An Elkton man was charged with possession of meth after being stopped for speeding on Clifty Kirkmansville Road Saturday afternoon.

Todd County Sheriff’s Deputies say 29-year-old David McPherson was stopped for speeding and was nervous during the stop and could not give the deputy a valid driver’s license.

After deputies got McPherson out of the vehicle a gun was reportedly seen between the driver’s door and the seat.

Deputies allegedly found a bag with meth inside in the passenger side compartment and charged McPherson with possession of meth DUI, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
