Eddyville Man Facing Multiple Charges After Henderson Pursuit

A Lyon County man is facing numerous charges after a lengthy pursuit in Henderson Saturday morning.

Kentucky State Police report Henderson City Police were attempting to stop 25-year old Jacob T. Moore, of Eddyville as they believed him to be intoxicated and hallucinating while operating a pickup truck. As police attempted to pull him over, Moore fled traveling various roadways, but the pursuit was called off as he was traveling to erratically.

Police later located Moore’s truck abandoned in a Dollar General parking lot and shortly thereafter found him in a stolen pickup truck. As police attempted to pull him over, again, he fled through various streets, residential yards, and parking lots. Authorities performed a legal intervention, with Moore losing control of the stolen pickup truck near the Henderson Memorial Hospital. He attempted to flee on foot but was caught.

Moore failed to comply with commands and was subsequently tased. He is facing charges of 1st-degree wanton endangerment – police officer, 1st-degree fleeing or evading in a motor vehicle, 1st-degree driving under the influence, resisting arrest, and numerous traffic offenses.
