Two Princeton residents are facing wanton endangerment charges after police say two children were found in a store’s parking lot early Thursday morning.

Princeton Police Chief Chris King says that officers responded to a complaint of two children in the parking lot of Walmart around 4:00 a.m. He adds the investigation revealed that the six and eight-year-old children had left their residence on West Green Street at approximately 8:00 Wednesday evening and had walked to Walmart.

Chief King reports that when officers took the children back to their residence the parents, 27-year-old Timothy J. Daniel and 26-year-old Hannah E. Lynch allegedly did not know they were gone.

Daniel and Lynch were then cited to appear in court on charges of first-degree wanton endangerment.

Chief King notes that Social Services were also notified to investigate the incident.
