A Hopkinsville man that was featured on Crime Stoppers was arrested on a warrant for a burglary at a Hopkinsville Building Supply Company Monday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say 20-year-old Benjamin Kelly was arrested in a home on Tennessee Avenue and gave officers a false name after they found him hiding under some clothing.
35-year-old Gage Mulhall and his wife were allegedly inside the home when police arrived and told them no one else was inside.
Kelly and Mulhall were charged with first-degree burglary after they both pried a hole in a wall at Builder’s First Source on November 3rd and took a laptop, a safe and a truck that they used to ram a locked gate at the business with Kelly in the bed of the truck.
Mulhall was reportedly armed with a stolen firearm during the burglary.
Mulhall was arrested on November 3rd and Kelly suffered life-threatening injuries during the burglary and was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville where he was treated and released.
Kelly is charged with first-degree burglary, failure to appear, and giving officers false identifying information.
Mulhall was charged with second-degree hindering prosecution or apprehension.
