Trigg Superintendent Looking Forward To First Day Of Class

As students and teachers head back to the classroom on Monday at Trigg County Public Schools, a new Superintendent will be there to greet them.

Bill Thorpe, who accepted the position on Thursday, November 21, tells the News Edge he is really excited to meet the Cadiz and Trigg County community.

He says the feedback he has gotten from teachers and staff, so far, has been very positive.

Thorpe adds he has three phases moving forward to begin his work with the district.

He notes the next phase is to visit every classroom.

The third phase includes getting everyone together to come up with a plan that leads the district through the next decade and beyond.

The district has plenty going on as they enter the New Year with a renovation project at the elementary school and installation vestibules and office renovations at the middle and high schools.
