Three Dawson Springs residents are facing multiple charges, including DUI and drug possession, following a traffic stop Monday night in Dawson Springs.
Kentucky State Police report that Trooper Ridge Porter observed a 1993 Cutlass Oldsmobile fail to use its turn signal before turning onto East Keigan Street just before 7:30. Trooper Porter imitated a traffic stop on the vehicle after also observing the vehicle traveling on the wrong side of the roadway.
Once the vehicle was stopped Trooper Porter conducted further investigation and determined that the driver, 28-year-old Stephanie Clark, and two passengers, 25-year-old Anthony Clark and 52-year-old Debra Clark, were allegedly under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Anthony Clark was also found to allegedly be in possession of suspected methamphetamine.
Stephanie Clark was charged with her second DUI offense, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle prohibited, careless driving, and various other vehicle-related offenses.
Anthony Clark was charged with his third or greater offense of first-degree possession of methamphetamine, giving an officer false information, public intoxication – controlled substance (excluding alcohol), and menacing.
Debra Clark was charged with public intoxication – controlled substance (excluding alcohol).
All three were then lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.
