Two Trigg County residents have been charged after police say they found the pair in a truck stolen earlier this week in Hopkinsville.

According to Hopkinsville Police, a blue 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 owned by 24-year old Justin Knight of Lafayette was taken from the Dodge Store on West 7th Street around 4:30 Monday afternoon.

Cadiz Police Chief Duncan Wiggins tells the News Edge the victim apparently knows several people in the area and they started receiving telephone calls from the public Tuesday afternoon that the truck had been spotted in Trigg County but officers were unable to locate it. Shortly before 9:00 Wednesday morning, he says they received more calls from the public about the truck.

Chief Wiggins says 35-year old Justin Evans and 25-year old Kayla Hill, both of Cadiz, were arrested and charged with receiving stolen property. He notes two other people were briefly detained but officers determined they were not involved with the stolen vehicle.
