Two Hopkinsville men have been charged Thursday in connection with a robbery on West 1st Street in the area of North Jessup Avenue Sunday night.
Hopkinsville Police say 21-year-old Justin Cooper said a 17-year-old juvenile along with 18-year-old Ahree Carnes and 19-year-old Tysean Johnson took marijuana, money and his 9mm handgun from him before assaulting him during a drug transaction.
Cooper suffered only minor injuries from the assault. The juvenile was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery and possession of marijuana Monday. Carnes and Johnson are charged with first-degree robbery and second-degree unlawful transaction with a minor.
