State police have released the details of a double-fatality that occurred in Trigg County Sunday night.
Kentucky State Police report a car driven by 21-year old Brandon Hare of Cadiz was traveling north on Kentucky 139-the South Road and a truck driven by 24-year old Tyler Dodson of Murray was traveling west on U.S. 68. Police say a preliminary investigation shows Hare failed to stop at a stop sign and Dodson’s vehicle hit Hare’s vehicle on the passenger side. Hare was pronounced dead at the scene, and his passenger 20-year old Jarod Ballengee, also of Cadiz, was transported to Trigg County Hospital where he passed away a short time later.
Dodson and two passengers in his truck, 69-year old Dorothy Dodson of Fancy Farm and 23-year old Mason Dodson of Murray were all transported by ambulance to Trigg County Hospital. Tyler and Dorothy Dodson were treated and released while Mason Dodson was transferred to Murray-Calloway County Hospital for further treatment.
According to state police, an autopsy and toxicology for Hare are being conducted Monday at the request of the Trigg County Coroner.
