Trigg County School Board Members

Jo Alyce Harper is a 1978 graduate of Trigg County High School and a 1982 graduate of Murray State University where she was a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority. She is a member of Cadiz Methodist Church. Ms. Harper is married to Mike Harper and has three children and four grandchildren. She has been a supporter of Trigg County Schools for many years serving in various capacities such as PTA president and a member of the Elementary, Middle and High School SBDM committees.
Ms. Harper has been a member of the Trigg County Board of Education, serving District 4 since 2009, and served as Chairman of the Board for over 2 years. She is currently employed by Valiant Government Services in Hopkinsville, KY as the corporate assistant controller.

Mindy Golladay Hargrove, a devoted member of the Trigg County community, has dedicated her career to improving local recreation, education, and business. After moving to Trigg County in 1998, Mindy took on the role of managing the Trigg County Recreation Complex, where she began to make a lasting impact on the community. Her commitment to public service extended further when she became the Trigg County Emergency Management Coordinator.

In her pursuit of further personal growth, Mindy returned to college to earn her nursing license, leading to a successful career in healthcare. She also pursued her passion for sports, serving as both a coach and official for a wide range of programs across Trigg County, Christian County, Ft. Campbell, and University Heights. After retiring from nursing and coaching in 2020, she found new opportunities to make a difference in her community.

That same year, Mindy became the proud owner and operator of the Bar B Que Shack, where she quickly became known for her outstanding service and delicious food. In 2024, she expanded her entrepreneurial ventures by acquiring Bar B Que Shack II at Knockum Hill and partnering in the newly established Crusty Pig.

Mindy remains deeply invested in Trigg County Schools and is looking forward to continuing her efforts to foster growth and development within the community. With her extensive background in management, coaching, and business, she is excited about the future of Trigg County and the ongoing opportunities for local success.

Theresa Allen joined the Board of Education January 2017, serving District 5. Ms. Allen graduated from Trigg County High School in 1983. She has held various banking positions, including teller, head teller, and training customer service representatives at Heritage Bank for 7 years. In 2009, Ms. Allen moved to FNB Bank where she worked in Customer Service. She is now currently employed at Edward Jones.
While her children attended Trigg County High School, Ms. Allen was very active in PTA, PTO, Site-Based Councils, Trigg County Band Boosters, Trigg County Diamond Club, and Trigg County Grid Iron. Ms. Allen is a member of the Cadiz Baptist Church and the Woman’s Auxiliary. She currently serves as President of Trigg County Chamber, as well as ambassador and board member. Ms. Allen has four children and five grandchildren.

Charlene Sheehan has been serving District 1 as a Trigg County School Board member
since January 2019. Ms. Sheehan retired from Trigg County Schools after 26 years as a
speech therapist. She holds national and state certification in communication disorders.
Ms. Sheehan works part time for Kentucky Disability for Determination Service,
evaluating individuals with communication disabilities. She volunteers for Trigg County
Schools, American Cancer Society and The Way.
Ms. Sheehan is married to Dan Sheehan, who has worked for TVA for 37 years, and has a
daughter, Dori, who graduated from Trigg County Schools. She is a member of Oak
Grove Baptist Church. She is an avid fan of University of Kentucky and Murray State
University sports.

Clara Beth Hyde has been a member of the Board since January 2019, serving District
3. Ms. Hyde is a 1987 graduate of Trigg County Schools, graduate of Georgetown College
with a BSNA, and graduate of University of Kentucky with her BSN. She has work
experience as an OB/GYN Nurse at MCCH and was TCHS School Nurse and Health
Service Instructor. Ms. Hyde is now the owner and director of Barkley Plantation
Assisted Living.
She is married to Mike Hyde and has three children, Mason, Reagan, and Gentry. Ms.
Hyde has been active in the school system serving 4 years on the TCHS SBDM, TCPS
Calendar Committee, and TCPS Long Range Planning Committee. She is also a member
of Cadiz Rotary Club.
