A Hopkinsville man was charged after he reportedly assaulted a child and threatened a woman with a knife Monday night.
Hopkinsville Police say 46-year-old Damon Hinkle threatened to kill a woman with a knife and put a 12-year-old child in a chokehold then tossed the child against a closet door during an argument on Vass Lane.
Hinkle reportedly fled from police out the backdoor of the home but was arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, second-degree fleeing or evading police, and fourth-degree assault (child abuse).
