The annual Run for Rotary – St. Patrick’s 5K to benefit the Cadiz Rotary Club is coming up next month.
Club member Clara Beth Hyde tells the News Edge the race will take place Saturday morning, March 21 at 9:00.
She adds the course will remain the same as the past few years, but the race will start in a different location at Trigg County Schools.
The 3.1-mile race is a great way to showcase downtown Cadiz.
Hyde says you can sign-up for the race by visiting RunSignUp.com. Forms are also available at Barkley Plantation and the Cadiz-Trigg County Tourism Center.
She notes they are also looking for businesses interested in sponsoring the race.
Awards to be given after the race include the best costume, best overall male and female racers, and the top three participants in each age group. Hyde says registration by March 6 will guarantee that participants will receive a race t-shirt.
