Hopkinsville Community College President Dr. Alissa Young shared that the school is working on possibly adding more class options during the board of directors meeting Monday afternoon.
Young says they are currently expanding their welding class options with a building expansion.
She adds the building will also host CDL and diesel technology classes.
In addition, the school is looking into a physical therapist assistant program.
HCC has been approved to offer respiratory care and radiography.
Additionally, the school is looking into partnering with Murray State University to offer a precision ag course. Also, they will have their first graduate of the fire/rescue science degree in May, which will be Hopkinsville Fire Department Chief Steve Futrell.
The board also welcomed new members Donnie Holland and Tony Holloway and voted Richard Nelson as board chair and Leigh Durdan as vice-chair.
