Hopkinsville Man Charged After Shooting At A Vehicle

A Hopkinsville man was arrested on a warrant Sunday morning for wanton endangerment after police say he shot at a vehicle on Hawthorne Drive last month.

Hopkinsville Police say on January 25th 18-year-old Isaiah Henderson shot at an oncoming vehicle with four people inside on Hawthorne Drive.

Shortly after police arrived at the shooting on Hawthorne Drive they were told Henderson had shown up at Jennie Stuart Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his leg.

A juvenile was arrested the night of the shooting and charged with two counts of wanton endangerment and possession of a handgun by a minor.

As police arrested Henderson a second person in the Hawthorne Drive home 19-year-old Ty’Rell Bateman attempted to hide a gun under the couch. Bateman was charged with tampering with physical evidence.

Henderson is charged with four counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
