The screening committee in the search for a new superintendent for Christian County Public Schools is now in place.
School officials say the following six people will serve on the superintendent screening committee:
Board Appointee: Linda Keller
Principal Representative: Tonya Oakley
Certified Representatives: Pam Dossett and Nicole Poindexter
Classified Representative: Trevor Herndon
Parent Representative: Tiffany Mumford Brame
According to the school district’s board policy, the superintendent screening committee is responsible for screening all candidates; employing any reasonable means it chooses to screen candidates; reporting its recommendation to the Board on the prescribed date; and, considering additional responsibilities as assigned by the Board.
The screening committee was selected in order to find a superintendent by April after Mary Ann Gemmill announced in November she is retiring at the end of the 2019-2020 school year after serving eight years as the superintendent.
