Traffic Stop Led To Drug Charges In Hopkinsville

A Dawson Springs woman was charged with DUI and possession of meth after a traffic stop for not turning on her headlights Friday night.

Hopkinsville Police say 41-year-old Tammy Dukes was stopped on Skyline Drive for not having her headlights on and during the stop officers could smell marijuana.

After a search of the vehicle, police reportedly found a meth pipe in her jacket pocket and a small amount of marijuana and meth in the vehicle.

She allegedly failed a field sobriety test and was charged with DUI and possession of meth and marijuana.
