Two houses less than a mile apart burnt Sunday night into Monday morning in Cadiz.
Emergency personnel said the first home located on Perry Street at the intersection of Iron Street was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived just after 11 pm Sunday.
The occupants moved out on Friday and the home is believed to be vacant.
As firefighters worked to extinguish the Perry Street fire they were called just after midnight to 140 Line Street for a second home fully engulfed.
The cause of both fires remains unknown but suspicious. No one was injured in either fire.
Cadiz Fire Department was assisted by Montgomery Fire Department and East Golden Pond Fire Department.
