One child was transported with possible injuries from the scene of an accident involving a school bus Tuesday afternoon.

Princeton Police Chief Chris King states that officers responded to a collision with possible injuries on Hopkinsville Road around the 10-mile marker just before 3:30. He adds that investigation revealed that 51-year-old William L. Turnier, of Madisonville, was operating a 2018 Western Star dump truck when he came upon a Caldwell County school bus stopped in the roadway. The school bus, driven by 51-year-old Donna M. Ford of Princeton, was waiting to turn left on Masonic Drive when the dump truck struck the bus in the rear.

Chief King notes that one student passenger was transported by Caldwell County EMS for possible injuries sustained in the accident. No other injuries were reported.
