A Hopkinsville man was indicted by the Christian County Grand Jury Friday for sexual abuse of a child.
33-year old Cedrick Jabriel Brown was indicted for first-degree sexual abuse victim under 12-years of age. The arrest warrant states that on February 2, 2019 Brown subjected a 9-year old female to sexual contact when he was staying at the child’s home.
The grand jury also indicted 46-year old Damon Ramon Hinkle of Hopkinsville for first-degree wanton endangerment, fourth-degree domestic assault child abuse, and second-degree fleeing and evading police. The charges stem from January 27 when police reported Hinkle caused physical injury to a 12-year old by placing the girl in a chokehold and tossing her against a closet door. Hinkle also allegedly threatened to kill another person with a knife. When police arrived at the home on Vass Lane, Hinkle reportedly fled out the back door but was quickly captured and taken into custody.
38-year old Marcus Larry Jones of Hopkinsville was indicted for first-degree strangulation and fourth-degree domestic assault. According to police, Jones hit his ex-girlfriend in the face on January 13 and then strangled her until she couldn’t breathe. He then fled the scene and was arrested on Clay Street.
And the grand jury indicted 25-year old Raymond Geonte Hill of Hopkinsville for first-degree strangulation, third-degree criminal mischief, and giving officer false identifying information. The charges stem from Janaury 26 when officers were dispatched to a disturbance on Honeysuckle Drive. Upon arrival, the victim reportedly told police Hill had choked her when a verbal altercation turned physical and he also threw an object, damaging a window. When police found Hill walking in the area, he allegedly gave them false identifying information.
