Trigg Community Steps Up For Tennessee Tornado Victims

Once again the Trigg County community’s generosity and compassion for others shines through to bring hope to storm victims in their time of need.

The City of Cadiz and Public Works Department hosted a collection drive Monday morning at Hancock’s Neighborhood Market and Food Giant for victims of the tornadoes that ripped through Middle Tennessee communities last week.

Mayor Todd King says the turnout was astounding with over $12,000 worth of items collected.

Several City workers, local officials, and others gathered at the Cadiz Fire Department at the conclusion of the collection drive where Director of Ministry Brother Bobby Sellers led them in prayer.

Fowler says the items collected will be delivered to Hands of Tennessee with a few of the food items possibly going to the Second Harvest Food Bank.
