Deputies have released more information about a wreck that sent a Hopkinsville woman to the hospital on Butler Road at the intersection of Pilot Rock Road Thursday morning.
Christian County Sheriff’s Deputies say 34-year-old Tonya McCain was eastbound when she fell asleep and her SUV ran off the road hitting a utility pole.
Deputies could reportedly smell marijuana on McCain while she was inside the ambulance. Marijuana and meth were allegedly found in her jacket pocket.
McCain was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center where she was treated and released.
She is charged with DUI and possession of meth and marijuana.
