Area schools began prep work Thursday for the possibility of extended closures due to the threat of COVID-19.
Trigg County Public Schools Superintendent Bill Thorpe tells the News Edge they began sending homework and other items home following a Wednesday conference call with Governor Andy Beshear.
Christian County Public Schools Superintendent Mary Ann Gemmill shared the same sentiments in a release to parents Thursday afternoon. Gemmill adds parents should start making plans now, in case Governor Beshear calls for shutting down public schools because of the virus.
