Christian County Health Department announced Thursday afternoon the first confirmed COVID-19 case in the county.
Director Kayla Bebout says the patient is a female and in good spirits.
She adds the health department will monitor all direct contacts for 14 days since their last known exposure to the confirmed case.
Bebout reminded medical providers who have tested individuals to contact the Christian County Health Department. She adds any businesses or organizations concerned an employee has been in contact with a confirmed coronavirus case also needs to contact the Christian County Health Department for assistance.
