NWS Provides Severe Weather Update For Overnight

The National Weather Service in Paducah held  a teleconference Thursday afternoon regarding possible severe weather moving through the region overnight.

Warning Coordination Meteorologist Rick Shanklin says most of the area is an enhanced risk for severe weather with the tornado threat lower than the last weather event.

He adds the greatest threat with the storm system is damaging winds.

Shanklin says they believe as the system moves eastward the severe threat has diminished due to the cloud cover today.

He says the anticipated time arrival in the Pennyrile region is between 10:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m.

If severe weather does break out tonight, Your Weather Edge will break in to provide live coverage on wkdzradio.com and whvoradio.com.
