Governor Extends Closure Of Schools And COVID-19 Cases Rise

During his COVID-19 update Friday, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear extended the closure of schools and said the number of confirmed coronavirus cases continues to climb.

As of 5:00 p.m. Friday, Governor Beshear said there are 63 positive COVID-19 cases, including the confirmed case of a 28-year old male in Calloway County.

Among new steps taken by the Governor Friday included extending the closure of schools until April 20.

He also extended the tax deadline to mid-July.
