A well-known business on Fort Campbell Boulevard in Hopkinsville is temporarily closing as a precautionary measure due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Herb Hays Furniture owner Lee Ann Naghtin says she is closing the store for two weeks out of concern for her staff and their families. She adds they are not closing the doors to the business forever, and asks for everyone to watch for announcements on Facebook concerning the store. After Saturday, Naghtin says they can be reached by texting 270-886-8121 and they will also be checking their answering machine. Naghtin adds there will be some staff in the office taking care of day to day things that need attention.

According to Naghtin, Herb Hays Furniture hasn’t been closed since the 1980s when the sprinkler system froze and flooded the store.
