A recent blood drive at the WKDZ/WHVO Studios proved to be a success.
The drive, which was held on Monday, collected 30 pints of blood with 32 perspective donors being screened, according to Western Kentucky Regional Blood Center Recruiter Robbin Shively.
She says the donors who stopped by were awesome people.
Shivley adds if you missed the opportunity to give blood, they will be hosting another drive Friday at the Princeton Welcome Center from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM. She says they are currently behind about 28 pints of blood.
In addition, the Edge Media Group will host another blood drive on Friday, April 10 at 19 DJ Everett Drive in Cadiz.
Shivley adds there are some guidelines that must be followed in order to donate blood.
Shivley encourages anyone who is sick, to not come and attempt to donate blood.
The people who donated Monday received a free oil, lube and filter change from the Trice Hughes Automotive Family, which operates Trice Hughes in Princeton and Wildcat Chevrolet in Cadiz.
