Governor Beshear Asking Everyone To Continue Social Distancing

Governor Andy Beshear says if everyone across the Commonwealth practices continues the practice of social distancing, thousands of lives could be saved.

The comments came during his Friday afternoon update, in which Governor Beshear says under the current executive orders and restrictions up to 11,000 lives could be saved.

In other comments, Beshear says they are working closely with nursing homes across the state to ensure they stop the spread of COVID-19.

As of Friday evening, the state had confirmed 90 new COVID-19 cases, with a new case reported in Caldwell and Christian counties. Additionally, Governor Beshear confirmed six new deaths, including a Hopkins County resident. Beshear adds 228 residents have fully recovered, with the number expected to increase daily.

Beshear also announced a way to donate personal protective equipment (PPE) by either clicking here or calling (833) 448-3773.
