A Hopkinsville woman was charged with assaulting another woman on South Clay Street Monday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say 30-year-old Stephanie Brown held a woman down by her throat restricting her breathing and threw her cell phone so she could not call for help.
After Brown was arrested she reportedly damaged the driver’s side window of the arresting officer’s vehicle.
She is charged with first-degree strangulation, fourth-degree assault, intimidating a participant in a legal process, and second-degree criminal mischief.
