Pennyrile Area Development District Still Delivering Hot Meals

Officials with the Pennyrile Area Development District (PADD) are encouraging seniors who have not yet signed up to receive meals delivered straight to their door to do so.

Officials state that PADD’s nutrition providers, Pennyrile Allied Community Services (PACS), are still actively preparing and delivering meals despite senior citizen centers being closed to the public due to state mandates to help slow the spread of coronavirus. They add that PACS provided a grand total of 4,064 hot meals to senior adults throughout the Pennyrile region last week, March 30th through April 3rd.

Officials note that those aged 60 and over who are in need of meals can contact the Pennyrile Aging and Disability Resource Center at 1-866-844-4396.

The Pennyrile Area Development District serves Caldwell, Christian, Crittenden, Hopkins, Livingston, Lyon, Muhlenburg, Todd, and Trigg counties.
