Even though the Trigg County Clerk’s Office is closed to in-person traffic through the COVID-19 pandemic they are still able to do many things at their office with their drive-up window.
Clerk Carmen Finley tells the News Edge they are using the window, which she believes hasn’t been used since the clerk’s office moved into the building that formerly housed Trigg County Farmers Bank.
Finley adds its been a real blessing to continue business, as much as possible.
The office is able to continue a lot of their normal services, except for transfers.
Finley says things can still be mailed-in and a majority of services can also be completed online, except for boat renewals which are not available online.
She adds her employees are working what is considered a half and half schedule.
Finley’s office is open weekdays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. She reminds everyone that because of executive action taken by Governor Andy Beshear, tag and driver’s license renewals have been extended for three months.
The clerk’s office plans to continue using the drive-up window located on Monroe Street after the COVID-19 pandemic is over to make it easier to access their services.
