AAA East Central reported Monday that gas prices in Kentucky keep dropping and that national demand hit a 52-year low.
According to the American Automobile Association, gas prices across the region are about 10-cents lower this week. They add regional gasoline stocks measure at 60.5 million barrels, which is the highest level in 14 months.
Additionally, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) reports for the week of April 3, stocks built by 2.6 million barrels and that gas prices will continue to fall in the week ahead.
The AAA East Central reports the average gas price in Paducah as of Monday was $1.29, which was the lowest in the region and Trigg County reported the highest average at $1.66. The average gas price in Christian County was near $1.62, Caldwell County reported $1.61, Todd County a little over $1.56, Lyon County at $1.40, and Hopkins County reported the lowest price in the immediate region at $1.32.
