Hopkinsville Mayor Wendell Lynch will unveil the city’s Fiscal Year 2020-2021 budget recommendations during a virtual news conference Friday morning.
City officials say the budget address will be Friday morning at 9:00 via a live broadcast at the Hopkinsville Municipal Center. There will be no general in-person viewing at the budget address due to social distancing restrictions related to the COVID-19 state of emergency. Instead, city officials are encouraging the public to watch the budget address news conference live by online streaming or on television.
Following the news conference, the budget will be taken up for consideration by Hopkinsville City Council at a series of Committee of the Whole meetings scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on May 7, May 14, and May 21 (if needed). Those meetings can also be viewed by the public live by online streaming or on television.
