Officials say they had a good turnout for the opening day of the Trigg County Farmers Market Saturday.
Due to social distancing and other restrictions in place because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Farmers Market is now a drive-thru and the location moved from the parking lot of Founders Square in downtown Cadiz to the Trigg County Senior Citizens Center on Joy Lane.
As of mid-morning Saturday, Cadiz Main Street Director Casey Parrent tells the News Edge she is pleased with the turnout.
She says they had four vendors for opening day and she hopes they have more vendors next Saturday. Parrent adds vendors at the drive-thru market are required to abide by certain restrictions due to COVID-19.
Anyone interested in being a vendor at the Farmers Market can contact Parrent or the Trigg County Extension Office.
Parrent says the Farmers Market will be held from 7:00 a.m. until noon on Saturdays at the Trigg County Senior Citizens Center, located at 127 Joy Lane, until further notice.
