Motorists who use the northbound on and off-ramps at the Crofton exit on Pennyrile Parkway in Christian County need to be aware the ramps will be closed for nearly two weeks beginning Monday, May 11.
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 2 spokesman Kiersten Jaggers says the closure is on the northbound on and off-ramps at Exit 23 is necessary for the contractor to rehab both of the existing northbound ramps and is allowed ten days for the work, weather permitting. She says the rehab work for both ramps entails breaking up the existing concrete and applying an overlay of asphalt, with concrete used for the mainline.
According to Jaggers, the contractor will be moving equipment into place in preparation for the work beginning Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. She says there will be no detour set up for these closures.
