Christian County Active COVID-19 Cases Show First 3-Day Increase in Five Weeks

For the first time in five weeks, Christian County has seen three consecutive days of increasing active COVID-19 cases. The health department reported 13 active cases Wednesday, which is three more than Monday and two more than Tuesday.

Of the three new active cases this week, two are between the ages of 22 and 59, and one is under the age of 21. Eighty-seven people have recovered from the coronavirus. The last time Christian County saw three straight days of an active case increase was April 7-9.

Of Christian County’s total of 103 cases, 45 originated in Western State Hospital. However, only one patient and one staff member have tested positive for the coronavirus this month according to information from the Kentucky Department of Public Health.
