Community Bids Farewell To Superintendent Gemmill

Community members, local leaders, board and staff members of the Christian County school district bid a farewell to Superintendent Mary Ann Gemmill Tuesday morning during a retirement reception at the Christian County Middle School.

After serving as the superintendent for eight years, Gemmill announced in November she was retiring at the end of her contract in June.

Gemmill says she believes the continuous improvement in academics captured with real data is among her greatest accomplishments during her tenure as superintendent.

When asked what she plans to do after retirement, Gemmill says she is looking forward to relaxing in Florida.
