For the fourth year in a row, Jennie Stuart Wound Healing Center was recently recognized with a national award for Clinical Excellence. Physicians, leaders, and clinicians at Jennie Stuart Health are celebrating the Center of Distinction award given to the Wound Health Center by Healogics®, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services.
Director of Marketing and Public Relations, Selina Staub says the Center achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for twelve consecutive months, including patient satisfaction higher than 92 percent, and a minimum wound healing rate of at least 92 percent within 28 median days to heal. She notes there were 601 Centers eligible for the Center of Distinction Award and 367 achieved the honor.
Jennie Stuart Health Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Eri Lee says they are proud of the work their team is doing, and for the success the Wound Health Center has in helping so many people. He adds this marks the fourth consecutive year their center has received this national designation of excellence. Lee says the award speaks volumes about the staff’s dedication to the Wound Center’s patients, and about the clinical expertise utilized to benefit people in the community.
According to officials, the Jennie Stuart Wound Health Center is a member of the Healogics network of over 600 Wound Care Centers and provides access to benchmarking data and proven experience treating approximately 2.5 million chronic wounds. Jennie Stuart Wound Healing offers highly specialized wound care to patients suffering from diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections, and other chronic wounds that have not healed in a reasonable amount of time. The Center also offers hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which works by surrounding the patient with 100 percent oxygen to help progress the healing of the wound.
