Officials with the Caldwell Medical Center are reminding area residents that drive-up coronavirus testing is still available throughout the month of June.
Mandy Smiley, Infection Preventionist, says just at 200 tests have been administered since they began weekly testing in May and so far each test has come back negative, but they are still awaiting results from tests administered earlier this week. She adds testing will continue to be held every Monday in June from 3:30 until 5:30PM at Caldwell Medical Center’s downtown office, which is located at 110 South Cave Street in Princeton, and appointments are required.
Smiley notes community members do not have to be experiencing symptoms but do have to be at least 18 years-of-age or older, and must have their drivers license and medical insurance card, though uninsured individuals can still qualify for screening. She states those being tested are also being asked to self-quarantine following the test as they await results, which could take up to 72 hours.
Testing is available for anyone who lives in Caldwell, Lyon, or Crittenden counties and appointments can be made by calling the Caldwell Medical Center at 270-365-0428.
