The Christian County Heart Walk is taking place Saturday, but it will be a virtual event as gatherings are still not permitted under current state guidelines.
Event organizer Suzanne Riley says she is very sad they can not host the normal event. Riley encourages everyone to participate by taking a walk where you are and posting a photo on social media.
Riley adds they are asking for donations, but reminds everyone you can donate after the event.
She says the research done by the American Heart Association is more important than ever during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Cardiovascular disease is the number one killer in America, with Riley saying every dollar raised goes to research.
