The Hopkinsville-Christian County Emergency Operations Center is reminding residents of the city’s ordinance regarding fireworks. EOC put out a reminder on social media after receiving multiple calls of fireworks going off in the city.
According to the ordinance, EOC officials say residents may only use consumer fireworks in Hopkinsville on July 1st-5th and December 31st-January 1st during the hours of 10 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. You also must be at least 200 feet away from structures, vehicles, and other people.
They ask for residents to be considerate of their neighbors and respect the city ordinance.
