A fire that started in the kitchen of an apartment on Hugh Hunter Road destroyed the building Friday afternoon.
Oak Grove Firefighters say they were called to Whispering Hills Apartments just before 5 pm for a report of a kitchen fire.
When they arrived flames were coming from the roof of the building but everyone inside had already evacuated.
Firefighters say all four apartments in the building are destroyed along with damage to a second apartment building due to heat.Oak Grove Fire Department was assisted by Fort Campbell, Pembroke, and Fairview fire departments.
