Bond Named Leader of United Way of the Pennyrile

The United Way of the Pennyrile announced Tuesday its new executive director.

The organization that serves four counties says their board of directors hired Betsy Bond, who stepped in and has served as interim executive director since March.

Bond holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Murray State University with a focus in Marketing. She is also a Leadership Hopkinsville-Christian County graduate and has been actively involved with community organizations such as the Dyslexia Association of the Pennyrile and Challenge House.

Prior to serving as interim director, Bond has owned and operated, That’s Neat!, aiding clients in residential organization and photo management. She also served as executive director of St. Luke Free Clinic of Hopkinsville, a previous term as interim executive director of the United Way of the Pennyrile, as well as Membership and Marketing Director for the Hopkinsville-Christian County Chamber of Commerce.

Brandon Grace, United Way of the Pennyrile board chair says they are excited to have Betsy lead their organization with her dedication to the United Way’s mission.

Bond says she’s excited to have the opportunity to lead such an amazing organization and she looks forward to working with the staff, the board of directors, partner agencies, supporters, and selfless volunteers.

Bond’s first day as executive director was Monday.
