Beginning next week, state officials have announced people can make appointments for in-person unemployment insurance (UI) services that will be offered to assist Kentuckians while ensuring the safety of those needing assistance and limiting the spread of the coronavirus.
Beginning Monday, Kentucky Labor Cabinet officials say in-person unemployment insurance assistance will be available to claimants by appointment only in Frankfort, Ashland, and Owensboro.
Claimants can schedule an appointment in Frankfort at the Mayo-Underwood Building located at 500 Mero Street. Officials say appointments will continue until further notice and will be available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., except for state holidays.
In-person assistance will be available on June 29 and June 30 in Grayson near Ashland and Owensboro from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Officials say the Kentucky Community & Technical College System will be hosting the events at the Ashland Community and Technical College located at 902 Technology Drive in Grayson, as well as the Owensboro Community and Technical College located at 4800 New Hartford Road in Owensboro.
According to the Labor Cabinet, claimants must bring two forms of identification like your driver’s license or other photo ID and social security card for identity verification.
Appointments can be made by clicking here and going to the “In-Person UI Services” View Services button.
Kentuckians who need additional assistance with their unemployment insurance claims can also click here and use the Chat Now button or call (502) 564-2900.
On Wednesday, state officials said people can make an online appointment to visit the Hopkinsville office on July 7 and 8, but did not provide any other details including where the location will be or the hours. They said instruction on how to make an online appointment will be announced later.
